This is a fantastic and innovative project bringing
|
together a diverse selection of talent.
|
Stephen McAnena, writer of Nailed, has provided
|
a wonderful script based on stories from the
|
Ballynafeigh area of Belfast.
|
|
William is currently working on 40+ pages of new
|
artwork while the rest of the artwork is being
|
produced by the participants of the comicbook
|
illustration workshops we started in October 2005.
|
These new artists have provided some beautiful
|
work for the project and we intend to post some
|
examples up in the next few weeks.
|
In the meantime, opposite is some work in progress
|
from the novel.
|
|
The project is produced with the Ballynafeigh
|
Community Development Association and has
|
been funded by the Arts Council and the
|
Community Relations Council
|
|
The exhibition has been up and running, first in
|
South Bank Hall, Kimberly Avenue and then at
|
Waterfront Hall, Belfast finishing on 11th August 2006.
